From Garden to Jewellery: Behind the Scenes of Alex Monroe x Gravetye Manor Collaboration
A shared love of nature, a historic English garden, and a little botanical magic...
United by a shared love of nature and British craftsmanship, Alex Monroe and Gravetye Manor are a natural pairing. Nestled in the beautiful West Sussex countryside, Gravetye Manor is renowned for its enchanting gardens and rich horticultural heritage. Once home to pioneering gardener William Robinson, whose passion for naturalistic planting helped shape the English garden as we know it today, Gravetye has long celebrated the beauty of the natural world.
Where it Began: Finding Inspiration at Gravetye
To begin our collaboration with Gravetye Manor, our design team visited its beautiful West Sussex gardens to explore the flowers and foliage firsthand. Surrounded by seasonal blooms and botanical treasures, the team gathered inspiration from nature's intricate details, sparking the ideas that would blossom into our jewellery collection.
From Garden Inspiration to Jewellery
Inspired by the flowers and foliage discovered at Gravetye, Alex and the design team began bringing their botanical ideas to life. From delicate petals to intricate natural shapes, each detail was carefully interpreted through sketches and craftsmanship, transforming the beauty of the gardens into treasured pieces of jewellery.
A Collection for Every Seasons
Celebrating the ever changing beauty of Gravetye's gardens, each piece captures a little moment in nature, from the delicate wisteria of spring and sweet summer strawberries to autumn dahlias and the first snowdrops of winter. A collection of botanical treasures to cherish throughout the seasons.
